Becoming a father is a huge life transition and evolution in identity. This class helps prepare you to navigate this new life chapter with confidence
Class Description
Today’s fathers have few generational or cultural references to guide them through the new levels of expectations and demands placed upon them as new parents. Increasing rates of divorce and postpartum depression in men show that new fathers are under tremendous levels of stress and are in desperate need of more support. Instead of being blindsided by all the changes you are going to experience once you become a father, this course seeks to show you the road ahead of you, and the common pitfalls you'll come across, so you'll be able to successfully navigate this huge life change and thrive as a new dad. This isn't a guide to tell you "how" to be a new dad. This is going to help you by telling you about common challenges that men experience when becoming a father, and giving you the tools so you can move through this huge life transition with confidence and strength.

- Emotional Changes of Dadhood: Many men feel emotionally "raw" for a while after their baby arrives. Lack of sleep and a drop in testosterone levels play a role. But also, your heart has been ripped open to love and care for this little thing you are holding in your arms now. But it's OK. This is normal.
- Financial Changes of Dadhood: You were probably hoping the "children are expensive" was a myth, but it's true. Knowing what new expenses are coming up will help you plan for them and budget accordingly.
