Your Instructor
Being a parent is one of the hardest and yet rewarding roles you'll ever have. I always say "Kids don't come with a handbook"! and yet we give ourselves such a hard time when we don't feel we're getting it right. Well, I'm going to tell you that you are amazing! My name is Libby Steggles-Ginn the creator of The Emoji Coach. I am a mother, a wife, and a businesswoman on a mission to help families to thrive and create the next generation of emotionally healthy, empowered, and happy children. I have been working as a coach and healer for over 11 years gaining more qualifications to add to my toolkit. However, the biggest tool that I use is my intuition and ability to connect to whoever I'm working with helping them to connect to their innate wisdom. We are all born with this wisdom and yet generational patterns and society pull us off track. I was brought up to think that it's too scary to connect with my emotions and so I ignored them and they got stronger and stronger and my confidence and self-esteem went out of the window. When I became a mother I saw the same patterns from my childhood repeating themselves in my children's lives and I knew I wanted to change that. So, I went on my own journey healing my inner child, and wow! What a difference both with myself and my children. It's through my own journey and inner work that I have realised how important it is to connect to our emotions and that they are not scary monsters and found ways to communicate feelings without opening up a can of worms. I now help parents to do the same and to teach their children how to express how they feel. This has helped parents come out of the fight or flight, feel calmer, respond to their kids rather than react. so, no more nagging, shouting the feeling like you're the worst parent in the world, and then being able to watch your children grow in confidence self-esteem, and resilience. Around 1 in 8 children and young people experience behavioral or emotional problems growing up and as it stands over 200,000 children under the age of 18 are being referred and on the waiting list to get help with their mental health. Although the support they are given is helpful it does not get to the root cause. I get to the root cause and I empower YOU to empower your child. By empowering YOU to heal your own childhood wounds, break outdated and destructive generational parenting patterns and fully step into your personal power, the possibilities for you, your child, and your family are endless.
