Picking an early childhood program for your child is an important decision. You may have many choices and be unsure of what to expect. In this class, we will discuss different types of settings, what to look for, and what to ask when you tour.
Class Description
Early childhood experiences lay the foundation for your child's development and learning. Picking an early childhood program can feel like a daunting task. In this class, we answer the questions: What are some of the different types of places that young children can attend? What should I look for when walking through and touring an early childhood program? What should I listen for when touring during a typical day in a program for preschool-age children? What should I ask? Learn about what developmentally appropriate settings look like and how you can seek a place that supports your child's developing sense of belonging and self-worth. Preschool programs can be both educational and nurturing. They can teach your children that learning is fun and that they are capable of amazing discoveries.
