This class explains in detail what puberty is, what physical, cognitive and emotional changes can be expected, the normal timing for puberty, and how to explain it to your daughter.

Class Description

This class starts with an introduction to important definitions of what is puberty and what happens in association to this. Then some more specialized definitions of physical changes. The class continues with an explanation of the endocrine events that cause puberty and reproductive anatomy followed by the timing of these changes. It will also explain the physical signs and will emphasize on menstruation. It will explain what is menstruation, what is normal and abnormal, associated symptoms and ways to feel better. The class continues with the menstrual cycle and when is it important to make a medical appointment. The subjects of early and late puberty will also be discussed as well as Sexuality, differences between sex and gender, sexual orientation, safe sex and consent.
