Class Description
Baby’s first bites are a big milestone. You made it! In this class, led by Maryann Christofas, a pediatric registered dietitian and nutrition expert, we will review the evidence behind a popular method called baby led weaning (BLW) and compare the approach to the more traditional route of starting with purees. In this class we will uncover if BLW is right for your family and baby and talk through how to get started with solids according to science. Specifically we will cover: 1) what is baby led weaning and what does science say about it and 2) what are the 3 steps every family must follow when starting solids (including readiness cues, deciding the right method for you, and what foods to actually start with). There will be plenty of time for questions. Bring your notebook and let the food adventure begin!
