Supporting Your Highly Sensitive Child During The Holidays

On-Demand Class · Emotions & Behavior

Four tips on supporting your highly sensitive child during the holiday season.

Class Description

About 15 to 20 percent of children may be highly sensitive, which means they have a “nervous system that is highly aware and quick to react to everything.” As the holidays come so does disruption of our lives and what is usually our norm. There are schedule changes, build-up of excitement and expectations of what’s to come, and many different engagements. This can be a wonderful time for children, but for highly sensitive children it can be very overwhelming and stressful for everyone involved. But it doesn’t have to be that way. As parents, you can help them thrive during this time of the season or at least get them to not be a walking time bomb.
