Dr. Kenneth Ginsburg and Martha Jablow are well-known leaders in researching how adolescents develop the much-needed skill of resilience. Join Kim Muench, Real Life Parent Guide, as she adeptly leads you through these essential steps.
Class Description
One of the greatest skills we can teach our children is resilience, right? But exactly how do we do that? The 7 C's of Resilience include Competence, Confidence, Connection, Character, Contribution, Coping, and Control. All of these skills are necessary for our kids to build in order to navigate life successfully. This video is based on the well-known work of Dr. Kenneth Ginsburg, a pediatrician specializing in adolescent medicine, and the co-founder and director of programs at the Center for Parent and Teen Communication as well as the director of health services at Covenant House Pennsylvania, an agency that serves Philadelphia's homeless and marginalized youth. Building Resilience in Children and Teens (2015) is co-authored by Martha Jablow. Kim Muench, Jai Institute for Parenting Certified Coach and mother of five kids ages teen to mid-thirties walks you through each of the concepts and then integrates them together for every parent to absorb.
