Sessions Overview

  1. Understand the Old Paradigm vs. the New Paradigm: There is a transformation, a paradigm shift, taking place in our understanding of babies and human development. The research that was conducted and proven over the last 30 years profoundly changes the way we can best parent our young ones.
  2. Parent the Developing Brain: One moment hilariously funny, cooperative, silly, sweet, brilliant and easy going and then the next…resistant, willful, crispy, hitting, kicking, biting, whining, melting down, etc. Sound familiar? Welcome to toddlerhood. Now let's understand why.
  3. Set Effective Boundaries: Setting clear boundaries is the evolution of discipline. Embracing the new model of parenting largely mitigates the need for sharp discipline because of the kind of respectful relationship you’re building with your child. Let's learn more!
  4. Navigate Unsavory Behaviors: When humans become physically and emotionally depleted and cross the threshold from “mammal” brain to “reptile” brain, they exhibit the most unsavory of behaviors such as kicking, biting, screaming, hitting spitting, running away or completely shutting down. So what can we do?
  5. Practice Impeccable Self Care: In this video you will learn ways to keep your cool when things heat up and stay regulated so you can be a strong guide and steadying force for your child when they need to get back to balance, or back into their “human” brain.
  6. Foster Empathy All Around: Empathy is the “superfood” of emotional nutrition. There is absolutely no better way for your child to feel your love, your connection and your authenticity than by receiving your empathy. Let's figure out how to make this part of your daily routine with your family.
  7. Weather the Meltdowns: In this video, I talk about why children melt down so frequently during this phase of life and what they need most from you, their parents, in the midst of the emotional storms. The next question is, how can you minimize the frequency of tantrums and meltdowns?
