Introducing a Bottle to a Breastfed Baby

On-Demand Class · Breastfeeding

Avoided the dreaded "nipple confusion!" This class presents tried and true strategies for when, how, and how often to give your breastfed baby a bottle.

Class Description

Most breastfeeding parents want to give their baby a bottle at some point, or have to when they return to work. But the advice on when to start bottle feeding is all over the place, and very little guidance is ever given on just how to give the bottle in a way that protects your breastfeeding relationship. In this class you will learn the best time to start pumping and offering your baby a bottle, how much to put in the bottle, and how to feed the bottle in a way that will keep your baby happily switching between bottle and breast. You'll also learn how, by using this method, you will be reducing the risk of 1) overfeeding, 2) tummy troubles, 3) breast preferences, and 4)bottle preferences (aka "nipple confusion").
