How To Choose Your Childcare Arrangement: Daycares vs. Nannies

On-Demand Class · Baby care

Arranging childcare, whether a daycare or a nanny, is one of the most important – and most overwhelming – tasks in working parenthood. By the end of this course, you will feel confident in making that choice for your family.

Class Description

Hey working mama: Are you overwhelmed at the prospect of lining up the childcare you need? Trust me, I get it. As a full-time working mom of three, I know that arranging childcare for your young children and babies is one of the most important—and most overwhelming—tasks related to working motherhood. Especially when you’re approaching it as a first-time mom and you feel like you’ve already been thrown in the deep end with the pregnancy and newborn phases, only to come up against this big, seemingly “life-changing” decision. But rest assured: After taking this mini-course, you will feel empowered to make the right childcare arrangement decisions for your family and know exactly what next steps to take to make that happen. The course will center around the mostly common childcare arrangements for young children – daycares and nannies – and is broken down into the following lessons: Session 1: Choosing Your Childcare Arrangement The Pros & Cons of Nannies vs. Daycares Questions To Ask Yourself Before Making Your Childcare Decision How & When To Start Your Childcare Search Session 2: Navigating Nannies How & Where To Find A Nanny A Recommended Interview Process for Nannies In-Depth Interview Questions for Nannies Session 3: Depending On Daycare How To Find A Daycare The First Step You Need To Take When Searching For Daycares In-Depth Interview Questions for Daycares Red Flags To Watch Out For In Daycare Facilities Please note: I do not believe that arranging or being responsible for childcare arrangements falls solely on the mother’s or a woman's shoulders. However, my specialty and focus areas revolve around supporting working mothers (not working fathers) which is why this course description and its contents are directed towards women vs. men.
