Class Description
By the time today's infants and toddlers are 18, they will have thousands of pieces of data, pictures and videos attached to their digital identity. As parents of the digital age, its our job to be educated about not only protecting our children in the real world but in the online world as well. Take this class to learn how to protect your little one's privacy while keeping them safe online. Join Kalinda Raina, a privacy advocate, lawyer and mother three, to learn easy tips for protecting your young child's privacy, having tough conversations with grandparents and others about sharing pictures, videos and information about your child online and establishing a healthy relationship for your young child with technology.
Your Instructor
Kalinda Raina is a privacy advocate and mother of 3 living in the Silicon Valley. She is deeply passionate about helping parents navigate the challenges of raising children in a digital world. There are so many new issues we as parents need to take into account in a digital world from helping our children manage their online identities and privacy to tackling cyberbulling, remote learning, screen limits and more. Kalinda is excited to help give parents practical tips from her learnings as a seasoned privacy lawyer and mom to 3 kids under 13. She was the first Chief Privacy Officer of Nintendo and has served on the board of the Family Online Safety Institute and was Chair of the Board for the International Association of Privacy Professionals. She holds an undergraduate degree from UC San Diego and law degree from UC Berkeley.
