Class Description
Parenting comes with endless love — and plenty of questions when your little one isn’t feeling well. In this essential class, Dr. Lisa Hoang, Pediatrician and mom, empowers you with calm, practical guidance for managing common childhood illnesses and safety concerns at home. You’ll learn how to confidently recognize and respond to fevers, respiratory viruses, rashes, allergies, diarrhea, and diaper rash, plus when it’s time to call your pediatrician or seek urgent care. Dr. Hoang walks you through key medical basics like accurate temperature taking, safe fever management, and weight-based dosing for medications such as Tylenol and Motrin — helping you feel informed and prepared. The class also explores how to handle more serious concerns, including febrile seizures, burns, and head injuries, with step-by-step guidance on what to do in the moment and what symptoms to watch for. You’ll also gain essential safety insights on water safety, choking prevention, and babyproofing your home to reduce risks before they happen. Dr. Hoang’s approach blends expert medical advice with relatable, real-life parenting wisdom — helping you replace worry with knowledge and feel confident caring for your child’s health from infancy through early childhood. This class is your go-to resource for understanding what’s normal, what’s not, and how to take action when it matters most — giving you peace of mind and the tools to keep your child safe, healthy, and happily raised.
